What is your name and what is your role at MedComms Professionals?

Hi, my name is Jake Watts, I am a resourcer on the MedComms team and it is my job to find talented industry experienced individuals thinking about or looking for their next role

Tell us a bit about yourself, what did you do before working here?

I originally trained in the arts but found it very difficult to pursue after finishing my degree. I then worked for both Deliveroo and Cycle Republic before beginning my career within MedComms Professionals.

What does MedComms mean to you?

Medical communications agencies provide insights and advice for pharmaceutical companies surrounding their products as well as assisting with educating healthcare professionals on new drug releases.

What’s the biggest challenge you foresee in recruiting within the medical communications market?

With MedComms being a candidate short market, my biggest challenge is making sure that I match professionals looking for a new role with their perfect next position matching all of their requirements.

What’s been your most satisfying experience since joining MedComms Professionals?

I think that would be knowing that I am helping professionals find challenging and stimulating work that improves their work life balance contributing to the  improvement of their health.

What does your average day working in MedComms Professionals entail?

My day-to-day activities include working closely with the consultants Bryony Sutlieff and Oliver Leavers to provide obligation free careers advice to professionals working in the industry and matching candidates to their dream jobs.

Do you have any hobbies outside work?

I enjoy cycling, painting, football, gaming and amateur dramatics.
